Now accepting Term 3 students

Diagnostic-first
tutoring for primary
and early secondary.

School reports tell you the grade. They don't tell you the gap. Onedai diagnoses exactly what your child is missing — then a Senior Teacher closes it.

01 / The problem

School reports don't tell you what's actually wrong.

"Working at standard" or "Band 5" tells you the grade — not the gap. By the time it shows up in NAPLAN or end-of-term results, your child has been struggling for months.

What you get

Vague descriptors, no diagnosis.

Reports use language like "developing" or "consolidating" — designed for school accountability, not parent action. You're left guessing what to actually work on.

What Onedai does

Specific gaps, concrete plan.

A curriculum-mapped diagnostic identifies the exact strands and sub-skills your child is missing. A Senior Teacher then teaches directly to those gaps — with measurable progress at each re-assessment.

02 / How it works

Three steps. Roughly a week.

From assessment to first tutoring session in under a week. No sales calls, no contracts, no upsells.

STEP 01

Free diagnostic

20-minute online assessment mapped to your child's curriculum. Up to 30 curriculum-coded questions identifying strengths, gaps, and sub-skill weaknesses across English and Mathematics.

STEP 02

30-min consultation

We walk through the results together, discuss your child's school context, and agree on a tutoring focus. Free, no obligation, no pitch deck.

STEP 03

Weekly sessions

One-on-one online tutoring, curriculum-aligned, with re-assessments every 6 weeks to track measurable progress. Stop anytime.

03 / Curricula

04 / Your tutor

Founded and led by a Senior Teacher.

Most tutoring platforms match you with university students. Onedai is one tutor: Rudolfo. Until that changes, you always work with him directly.

Rudolfo Da Fonseca

Senior Teacher (ST2) · Former Deputy Principal

Credentials: Senior Teacher (ST2) — a formal Western Australian designation requiring sustained excellence in classroom teaching. Six years as Deputy Principal at Dianella Primary College. Principal Project Consultant — Education Officer for EAL/D. Google Certified Educator. Anthropic-certified in AI Fluency Framework & Foundations and Claude 101.

Specialisations: English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D), Mathematics, and Digital Technologies across primary and early secondary year levels — with a particular strength in the upper-primary-to-Year-7 transition.

Why this matters: The depth of experience behind a tutor changes what's possible in a session. Knowing a curriculum from teaching it for 17 years — versus reading about it for a tutoring job — is the difference between homework help and actual remediation.

05 / FAQ

Common questions

What does it cost?+
Sessions are priced from $150 per hour, with package options for weekly bookings. We'll discuss specifics during the free consultation — pricing depends on session length, frequency, and whether you need an intensive block before an assessment.
How are sessions delivered?+
Online via Zoom or Google Meet. Your child needs a computer or tablet, a webcam, and a quiet space. Recordings are available afterwards. We've worked with families from Perth to Singapore to London with no quality difference.
What year levels are supported?+
Onedai works across primary and early secondary year levels (broadly Years 3–9 / Grades 3–9). The free diagnostic assessment currently covers Years 5–6 specifically (or equivalent: Grade 5–6 / IB MYP1 / Cambridge Stage 5–6) — additional year-level assessments are in development. Get in touch if your child sits outside the assessment's current range and we'll work out the right starting point.
How is this different from Cluey, KIS Academics, or local tutors?+
Two things. First — diagnostic-first. We don't start tutoring until we know exactly what's missing. Second — credentials. Onedai is led by a Senior Teacher (ST2) and former Deputy Principal, not a university student or junior teacher. The pricing reflects that.
